Rebel Whopper® Monday
Burger King needed to promote its new product, the Rebel Whopper®, a sandwich that has a plant-based patty. We were also aware of the "Meat Free Monday" movement, created to make people aware of the impacts that the use of foods of animal origin can cause. However, how could we help the movement without stopping eating our much-loved hamburger?
It was not necessary to give up the Whopper® to be part of this movement. It was proposed that every monday a Rebel Whopper® discount coupon would be made on placemats that were made from seed paper. Each coupon had a UFP (Unconventional Food Plant). This way, the person chose to have the discount or help the movement by planting their coupon.
In addition to the placemat, a collectible poster was created, inspired by botanical paintings that shows some UFPs and the Rebel Whopper®.
